Hi! My name is Brandon Smith. I am the Pastor of Paradise Outfitter Ministries. I began fishing with my grandparents at such a young age that I can’t remember the first time I went fishing in the pond behind their house. Some of my greatest memories are at my grandparents’ house during the summers; fishing until “Mamma” would ring the dinner bell. Fried fish, homemade coleslaw, and hushpuppies would be waiting on the table for us as soon as we entered the door.

My Dad knew the importance of keeping my brother and I close during our teen years so he bought a boat for fishing and skiing. My Dad would take me out of school on Mondays (his day off) so we could spend the day on the water. My Grandfather would even come and borrow me and the boat at times and take me to Table Rock Lake in southwest Missouri. Man, we spent a lot of days on that boat. My Dad and I would talk a little and then fish a little. I still look forward to the times when he and I can sit on a boat and talk about life, family, and our Creator and Savior Jesus Christ.

As my love for the outdoors continued to grow my time began to be divided into seasons: bow season, rifle season, turkey season, and fishing season. I can’t tell you how many friendships I have formed sitting on a boat or in a turkey or duck blind. I have even introduced my wife and two girls to the outdoors. We love to go camping together and spending opening weekend of rifle season with friends in the outdoors. It has been a great way for our family to continue to grow closer with each other, with our fiends who love the outdoors, and our Creator.

Paradise Outfitter Ministries has brought two great passions together for me: teaching the Bible in a relevant way and a love for the outdoors.
